How much do you charge?

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session involves agreeing a way of working together and deciding how often the sessions will be and gives you the opportunity to start telling your story

Do you have to tell my doctor, parents or anyone in authority?

No, we will make a confidentiality agreement which we will discuss in more detail in the first session

Do I have to pay for parking or is there public transport available close by?

There is free on-road parking outside the property and a local bus route stops a few minutes away

What if I arrange an appointment and have to cancel?

As long as you give more than 24 hours notice, there will be no charge and we can re-arrange

What if I can't make the same time every week?

No problem, we can arrange each session on days and at times that suit you

So, what exactly happens with counselling?

You will be actively listened to, not judged or given advice. The sessions will be guided by you and whatever you want to talk about. The counsellor is there to help you come to your own conclusions and is solely concerned and led by your needs

How long will I have to come for?

The work is open-ended which means you decide how many sessions you have
